Celebrating Nana's birthday from afar
Random Acts of Love towards Mommy (in this case picking flowers in the woods and surprising her with them one afternoon)
Lots of this...
Joel showing off his amazing muscles, planning and building and planting skills (and lots of love and hard work) to give me a garden this year...
Liam was constantly at his Daddy's side helping!
The circumference of a circle... so thankful to apply the math we learned this year!
(and a magnetic Roman helmet)
More of this... both indoors and out.
And more of this from my hardworking lads!
So cute. I was doing the dishes, and Liam came downstairs after he got his pj's on and handed me four quarters for "my labors" that day. He then told me the rest of the money in his wallet, $5.07, was going to his Daddy, because he has worked really really hard for my garden, and ought to be paid for it. :)
Daddy's Birthday!
Liam wanted to buy his Daddy a Lego set that they could build together. :)
A bust of a homemade cake. Liam wanted to use his mini bundt pan. And Joel wanted mint chocolate. But I was so distracted by boys, I forgot to put mint in the cake batter, and then forgot that it would need more then just a bit of mint extract since I was using a coconut cream based ganache. So it was mostly chocolate on chocolate with a hint of ganache. I'll make it upto him later.
There was a lot of that going on at the table. Still want to eat it? ;)
... at least we taught him the proper way to cover his mouth when coughing!
How about now... with two sick children trying to help blow out the candles? Spit sprinkles, anyone?? :P
Not only did my amazing husband build me a raised bed garden this year, but he also fulfilled my dream of having a couple apple trees, pear trees and a peach tree... (actually, he blew that dream out of the ballpark)
And Brian F helped, by loaning a truck full of manure ;)
And then my hardworking boys would be out early weekend mornings (and rainy evenings) to start digging up the ground to plant me berry bushes! Love these guys!
Easter egg hunts, courtesy of Nana.
The Purdue boy. The "cowboy". And the Grump. (Though he actually smiled for this picture, he cried for the next 30min because he missed his Dad).
She bought them each a little lego set, because I didn't want candy or junk food in them since they were still fighting smaller secondary infections. Each kid had a different color to find. And it was marked in Japanese so I would know, but not them. Genious!
So that was our month. How was yours?! :)
