We've had a crazy busy past couple of months. And I haven't taken any pictures either... isn't that awful?! But it was still a blessing having both Jon and Kelly (and company!) come stay with us the first weekend of October, followed by Morgan and Kyra (and company!) the following weekend for the Ashes to Glory benefit night. Not to mention a fun game night (sans kids) with the Harmons! :)
This past weekend is the last one my dear husband plans to spend in Michigan for quite some time. So we made the most of it by going with the Advocates to Spicer's up in Fenton. Unfortunately, although it had been in the 70s the previous weekend, it was in the low 40s (and rainy!) Saturday morning. Yuck! But the silver lining was time spent together as a family- and that is a blessing, rain or shine. And the boys had a blast picking pumpkins and apples, with cider and donuts afterwards. And although all their fun-looking play areas (they had a pirate boat!) were covered in water, Liam still had fun on the John Deere trikes, and Aiden didn't want to leave the corn pit. They were a bit disappointed the pipe slides weren't as steep as Ramseyer Farms.
I wasn't as brave as Vanessa to take our Nikon, so hopefully she'll get me a picture of our bundled up family soon (it may look like they were only wearing windbreakers, but they had on undershirts, sweaters, sweatshirts and rain jackets-- I haven't pulled out their winter gear yet!)! Good thing we cancelled our outdoor family pictures! :)
